Dr. Ken Kaufman is the Team Chiropractor for the Baltimore Orioles and has been treating athletes since 1994 in Sarasota, FL. In addition to his active practice, Dr. Kaufman also is a member of the Professional Baseball Chiropractic Society, a board member of the Sarasota Area Sports Alliance and an advisory board member for Keiser University Sports Medicine and Fitness Technology Program. He is also an approved continuing education provider for the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and the American Council on Exercise (ACE). As an avid athlete growing up in Michigan, he competed in baseball and water skiing. Following High School graduation, he excelled in weight training, running, biking and swimming and competed in multiple marathons and triathlons up to 1/2 Ironman distance.Established in 1994 as Kaufman Family Chiropractic Center, Dr. Kaufman began his career treating families and individuals of all ages. In 2010 the Baltimore Orioles moved their spring training operations to Ed Smith stadium in Sarasota and hired Dr. Kaufman to serve the chiropractic and sports medicine needs of their players each season. Following that, Dr. Kaufman changed the name of his practice to Sarasota Sports Medicine where he specializes in treating sports injuries and getting athletes back on the field competing with confidence.
