Like many physical therapists, my first introduction to the career came after I sustained an injury. I was serving in the Army at the time and broke my leg. I was very fortunate at that time to receive outstanding physical therapy and recovered completely. Actually, due to the expertise of my physical therapist, I was faster competing in triathlons than before this serious injury. This experience provided the inspiration to combine two of my passions – giving back to the community and sports – into a career. My favorite part of physical therapy is helping people get back to what they love to do, whether it is running marathons, competing in the swimming pool, or simply performing every day activities, pain-free. My sports medicine and physical therapy background combined have given me the opportunity to work with a wide range of patients, from professional, Olympic, and collegiate athletes, to working mothers concerned with aging more gracefully. We believe western medicine treats the symptoms but not the root cause and underlying issues that are causing your chronic pain and stiffness. We understand how difficult it is to live with chronic pain and stiffness, and how it can impact your relationships and outlook. This problem touches all aspects of your life. We know it can feel hopeless. That's why we take a holistic, personalized approach to get your body back on track and pain-free. With more than 25 years of experience and specialized training, we have methods you haven't tried before that are not readily available from other providers.
