Dr. Seaton was born and raised on the East coast and in Europe. At 20 she moved to California, where the sun mostly shines. She completed college at California State University, Northridge with a B.A. in art. A running injury first brought Dr. Seaton into a chiropractic clinic, where she was treated successfully. She became intrigued with chiropractic's approach to healing by human touch, and without drugs and surgery. She has remained passionate about finding new ways to help people feel better and continues to educate herself with updated information. Dr. Seaton is a dedicated swimmer and has been swimming with West Hollywood Aquatics since 1990. She has competed locally, nationally, and internationally in masters swimming competitions. She has also held board positions in her club, regionally, nationally, and internationally. In addition to swimming, she hikes (climbed Mt. Whitney in 2007), runs, spins, cycles, skis, does yoga, and weight training. She is also an avid reader.Dr. Seaton graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 1986 (summa cum laude, valedictorian) and began her private practice in 1987 in Santa Monica. In 1990 she became a Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists and moved her practice to West Los Angeles. At that time she also began having licensed massage therapists working for her. In the 1990s she completed the Team Physician program through the American College of Sports Medicine. She worked with many athletes, especially swimmers, runners, and cyclists. She began studying Functional Medicine in 2008 through the Institute for Functional Medicine and became a Certified Practitioner in Functional Medicine in 2013. She has been using Functional Medicine to treat people with chronic illnesses, as well as people who just want to feel better overall. In 2014 Dr. Seaton became certified in Active Release Technique® for upper and lower extremities. In July 2014 she moved her office to Culver City.
