Dr. Gallagher, the chiropractor, fractured his spine at 14 years old. The orthopedist recommended a full body cast from his chest to his knees for four months. But, his family chiropractor recommended a back brace with a series of core stabilization exercises. It changed his life and view of HEALTH care forever in a very positive way. There were no medications that would heal his fractured spine faster. Full body atrophy is now known to be a terrible recommendation for spinal rehabilitation and care. Dr. Thom Nguyen Lac is our Acupuncturist. He specializes in women's health care issues. He is also trained as a surgeon and medical doctor. He practices Qi gong and meditation and provides conservative herbal remedies in place of strong pharmaceuticals. He speaks Vietnamese, English, and French from his training in Africa and has been at Gallagher Chiropractic and Sports Medicine for decades. Dr. Nguyen also is an instructor and acupuncturist at UCLA. Dr. Gallagher was born and raised in Long Beach and graduated from University of California at Santa Barbara in 1984. He raced and traveled the world triathlon circuit for five years, then graduated from Southern California University of Health sciences in 1992. At Gallagher Chiropractic, we specialize in Scoliosis, adolescent sports injuries, physical medicine and whole body health care. Yes, chiropractic is the safest health care practice in the world.
