Craig C Callewart, MD is an Orthopeadic spinal specialist who uses therapy, medications, injections, back braces and surgery to treat painful conditions of the neck (cervical spine), upper back (thoracic spine) and lower back (lumbar spine). His practice includes adolescents & adults, and has practiced in Dallas for 25 years. Many patients come to him with "failed spinal surgery syndrome," which happens when a former surgery does not heal properly or a new problem develops in addition to the original problem. Experience, expertise, training as well as "horse sense" are combined to deal with these complex cases. Patients come to this practice because it is distinctly different than the way most medical care is practiced today. Our phones are answered 24/7 by a human being, our clinic has one physician, and staff know the patients personally. The practice is independently owned by Dr Callewart, so he is not required to refer patients to anywhere.Dr. Callewart completed medical school in 1982 at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas; his orthopedic surgery residency in 1991 at St. Luke's Hospital, Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland; and his orthopedic spine fellowship in 1992 at UCLA School of Medicine in Los Angeles.
