Dr. Derek Bechtel was born in Lancaster, California and grew up in Cherokee, Iowa. Growing up, Dr. Derek played sports which led to injury. From a young age he has utilized Chiropractic Care from his uncle, who was a local Chiropractor and part of the Bechtel extended family compromising of over 35 practicing chiropractors all whom own practices. Dr. Derek has known, since he was young, that he would become a chiropractor and is now the next in line form his family to do so. Dr. Derek went to the University of Iowa where he studied Human physiology and pre- chiropractic. This is also where he met his knowledgeable and supportive wife Bailey who is already established in her nursing career in the Des Moines metro area. Upon graduation from Iowa in May 2019, he started at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Dr. Derek loves to golf and be outside in the summer, as well as working out. Dr. Derek provides X-ray analysis and safe, effective and gentle adjustments!Bechtel Chiropractic and Wellness is a chiropractic practice located in West Des Moines, Iowa. Founded in 2023, we specialize in gentle prone adjusting and offer consultations, adjustments, relief treatment, wellness care, x-rays, and more.
