Dr. Mark Riggs graduated with honors from the Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine program at NUHS, where he was trained as a primary care physician to use chiropractic care as one of many tools in his healthcare toolbox. In 2016 Dr. Mark Riggs became a Board Certified Acupuncture Practitioner as well as a Board Certified Chiropractic Internist after 2 years of classroom instruction and intensive study followed by three internal medicine national board examinations. Dr. Riggs specializes in the advanced diagnosis and treatment of chronic internal disorders by applying a functional approach to achieving optimal health. Dr. Mark Riggs and Dr. Akilah Spencer blend conventional medical diagnostic testing with a more natural, conservative, and holistic treatment approach with an emphasis on proper nutrition. This Functional Medicine approach works to uncover the root cause of disease and dysfunction rather than just chasing and treating symptoms.
