Tara Nikzi is the founder and owner of Therapia Acupuncture Wellness Clinic. She is a nationally certified acupuncturist and licensed by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners. Tara Nikzi began her practice in 2007, when she was honored to be the first non-Doctorate (M.D.) licensed acupuncturists to hold an acupuncturist position at Oregon Health and Sciences University (OHSU). Tara continues to work in collaboration with doctors at OHSU to bring an integrative approach to many western medicine procedures. Tara has extensive knowledge of classical Chinese herbalism, and studied with leading scholars in China the application of Chinese herbs for modern illnesses. Today, she integrates her knowledge of western and eastern herbal pharmacology to holistically treat patients with a variety of concerns, from acute sprains to increasing metabolism, improving digestion, enhancing fertility and easing perimenopausal symptoms.Tara Nikzi is the owner and licensed acupuncturist at Therapia. She has a unique practice offering patients immediate pain relief from injury and auto accidents as well as helping with pain management and relief from chronic and long term conditions and illnesses. Tara also focuses her treatments in fertility and women's health. She works directly with several hospital clinics to provide the highest degree of patient care Tara has a very gentle yet effective needling technique.
