Dr. Shane Smith was born in Champaign, Illinois and moved to Naples, Florida in grade school. He was active in sports throughout his youth and furthered his education to the University of Florida where he received his Bachelors of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition. He continued his education in Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine for Health Science. Dr. Smith graduated with his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy in 2013 then returned home to work in an outpatient setting. Dr. Smith has spent the last 6 years focusing on both neurologic and orthopedic rehabilitation. Specialty areas for Dr. Smith are as followed: foot and ankle rehabilitation, neck and low back injuries, knee replacement rehabilitation, elbow pain, rotator cuff injuries, sports rehabilitation, multiple sclerosis, stroke rehabilitation.In 2017 I decided to take control of how patients should be treated. I wanted to deliver excellence in care for every patient, so I decided to open my own practice to control the volume of patients I see to guarantee superior physical therapy rehabilitation for all patients. Most therapy offices try and maximize the number of patients seen and thus deliver subpar quality care due to lack of time spent with each patient. That lack of care is usually why results are not obtained with therapy, let us show you how care in rehabilitation should be delivered.
