Dr. Theresa Larson received her doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Saint Augustine in San Diego California. She is a former Marine Corps Engineer Officer and Combat Veteran. Theresa played professional softball in Italy as well as semi-professional softball in the United States, was an All- American Division I softball player at Villanova University, as well as a former Body-for-Life Champion. Theresa founded Movement Rx with her husband in 2013 so they could break free from the traditional physical therapy practice and authentically treat patients with the time, care, and movement education they needed. Dr. Larson is determined to deliver movement health to as many people as possible with her team. She is an international speaker on movement & mobility as well as a lead instructor and creator of the injured and adaptive athlete course for CrossFit. She is the author of her memoir WARRIOR that was published in April of 2016 through Harper One, an imprint of Harper CoLike many innovative companies, we got our start out of frustration with the status quo. In our case, it was exasperation with the limited patient gains and utter lack of real customer service found in traditional high-volume physical therapy clinics. We started with a mission of helping people get better, faster. To achieve this has required one part mini-revolution in treatment paradigms, one part optimizing practitioner skill and one part client motivation. We have grown from physical therapy to include a full suite of well-being and human performance services at our HQ.
