Dr. Dunaway is originally from Cape Girardeau MO. He is the youngest in a family of 4 boys, which is to say he was constantly busy with sports...and getting hurt. His family environment growing up nurtured a passion for an active, healthy life in a large part due to his mother being a Registered Dietitian. It was after a baseball injury that Dr. Dunaway got his first chiropractic adjustment, after which, to his surprise, he was able to play in his very next game. It was at this point he knew there was something special about Chiropractic. He went on to attend Logan College of Chiropractic and graduated Cum Laude in December of 2012. While attending Chiropractic school he went on to get full body certified in Active Release Technique to improve his knowledge in biomechanics and soft tissue treatment. Upon graduation he moved to Clarksville TN to begin practice. He now lives in Hermitage TN with his Wife Gillian and two dogs, Whiskey(Mini Australian Shepherd) and Dakota (lab)Dr Dunaway opened ChiroStrength in Clarksville TN in 2016. He opened ChiroStrength because he felt that his skill sets of soft tissue therapy and Corrective exercise programming were not being utilized in the traditional chiropractic setting he was in prior to 2016. In order to accommodate the style of practice Dr. Dunaway enjoys, he started his practice from scratch. Appointments are typically 30 minutes long and can be described as a mix between Chiropractic, Massage, and Personal Training (or physical therapy depending on your level of pain). The goal with this type of treatment is NOT simply pain relief. It's geared towards teaching patients how to develop lasting exercise or body maintenance routines to keep them independently healthy and pain free.
