After you create a MedXimity account, you will receive a verification email before you can log in. This article walks you through every step — from finding that email to troubleshooting a link that has expired. Most people complete the process in under two minutes.
What to Expect After You Register
The moment you submit your registration form, MedXimity automatically sends a verification email to the address you provided. Wondering how long the account verification email takes to arrive? It typically lands in your inbox within one to five minutes. If it has not appeared after five minutes, that is still normal — occasional delays can occur depending on your email provider.
Every account type — patient, provider, and attorney — goes through the same email verification step before role-specific onboarding begins. So if you are activating a new patient portal account, you will see the same verification prompt that a chiropractor or a personal-injury attorney sees on their first day. What happens after verification differs by role, and that is covered further below.
How to Verify Your Email Address: Step-by-Step
Follow these steps to verify your email address after signing up.
- Open your email inbox and look for a message from [email protected] with the subject line "Verify Your MedXimity Email Address."
- Open the email. Inside, you will find a button labeled Verify My Email along with a plain-text link directly below it.
- Click or tap Verify My Email. Either the button or the plain-text link will work.
- Your default browser opens and displays a confirmation screen that reads "Your email address has been verified."
- MedXimity automatically redirects you to your dashboard. Your account is now active.
Completing Verification on a Mobile Device
Tapping the verification link in a mobile email client works exactly the same way. One thing to watch: Gmail and Outlook on iOS and Android sometimes open links inside a built-in browser panel rather than your full browser app. If the confirmation screen does not load correctly, tap the option to Open in Browser (or copy the link and paste it into Chrome, Safari, or your preferred browser). This resolves the issue in most cases.
Didn't Receive the Verification Email? Try These Steps
If you are wondering why you did not receive the verification email, work through this checklist before requesting a new one.
- Check your spam or junk folder. Automated emails from new senders are frequently filtered. If you find the MedXimity email there, mark it as "Not Spam" so future messages reach your inbox. This is the most common reason an account activation email goes to the spam folder.
- Check the Promotions tab (Gmail users). Gmail sometimes routes verification emails to the Promotions or Updates tab rather than Primary.
- Add [email protected] to your safe senders list. Brief instructions for common clients:
- Gmail: Open the email → click the three-dot menu → select "Add to Contacts" or create a filter that always delivers mail from this address to your inbox.
- Outlook: Right-click the email → "Junk" → "Never Block Sender's Domain."
- Apple Mail: Open the email → hover over the sender name → click "Add to Contacts."
- Confirm the email address you used at registration. A single typo (for example, .con instead of .com) will route the email to an address that does not exist. If you suspect a typo, contact support to correct it.
- Allow up to five minutes and refresh your inbox. If everything looks correct but the email has not arrived, wait a few minutes before requesting a resend.
How to Resend Your Verification Email
Need to resend your account activation email? Here is how.
- Go to medximity.com and log in using the email address and password you created during registration.
- After logging in, a banner will appear at the top of your dashboard indicating that your email has not yet been verified.
- Click Resend Verification Email within that banner.
- Check your inbox. A new verification email will arrive within a few minutes.
Important: Resending a new verification email automatically invalidates the previous link. If you click an older link after requesting a new one, it will not work — use only the most recent email.

Verification links expire after a set period for security reasons. If you click a link and see a message that it is no longer valid, your account data is not lost. You simply need a fresh link.
Follow the resend steps in the section above. Once you click the new link, your account will activate normally. If you continue to see an expiration error after requesting a fresh link, contact MedXimity support — the team can assist with manual verification.
Account Types and Verification: Providers, Attorneys, and Patients
Understanding the difference between patient, provider, and attorney account types can clarify why your post-verification experience may look different from someone else's.
All three account types complete the same email verification step. What changes is the onboarding flow that follows:
- Patients are directed to the MedXimity provider directory, where you can search for chiropractors, physical therapists, and rehabilitation specialists near you. From there, you can also message your provider through the patient portal.
- Providers are prompted to complete or claim their practice profile. If you are a clinician setting up your listing, see our guide on how to claim and verify your MedXimity provider profile.
- Attorneys proceed to firm setup and referral connection tools, which allow them to search for and communicate with providers in their area.
What You Can Do After Your Account Is Activated
Once your email is verified, you are redirected to your MedXimity dashboard. From there, as a patient, you can:
- Search the provider directory to find chiropractors, physical therapists, or rehabilitation specialists near you.
- View provider profiles, including office locations, hours, and specialties.
- Message providers directly through the secure patient portal.
- Access any intake forms or appointment-related documents your provider has shared with you through Digital Patient Chart, MedXimity's integrated EHR.
Your dashboard is the starting point for everything. If a provider has already invited you to connect, you may see that pending request waiting for you upon activation.
Accessibility: Completing Verification with Assistive Technology
If you are wondering how to complete sign-up with a screen reader, the MedXimity verification email and the confirmation page are both designed to work with common assistive technologies, including JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver. Buttons and links are labeled so that screen readers can identify them without relying on visual cues alone.
If you encounter any accessibility barrier during the verification process, please reach out to MedXimity support directly. The team can walk you through an alternative path to confirm your account.
