I learned massage from surgeons, osteopaths, and physical therapists to help with rehabilitation of my mother after a horrific car accident involving a tractor trailer. I continued massage throughout college, but realized Missouri added laws pertaining to massage sometime between 1993 and 2003. So i took a 4 year hiatus to enrich a young mans life by doing social services. I later enrolled in Massage Therapy school to finally get my license. Upon graduation I studied Thai massage to help with stretching clients. I became certified in medical massage in 2010 to obtain a closer affiliation with the local hospitals and insurance companies. In 2018, I received approval from the higher board of education to open the School of True Massage Therapy. It focuses towards the medical aspect of massage and rehabilitation. To help clients even further, I traveled to Europe in 2021 to study and received a Diploma to become a Manual Osteopathic TherapistTrue Massage Therapy was established in 2007. Throughout the years, many have walked through our doors. Professional singers, actors, and even a princess. However our focus on are the people of our community and athletes. We strive to get them our of pain so they can live a normal life. In 2020 True hired a second employee who absolutely blossomed. Today we have 5 employees whom we take care of by giving them a matching 401k, paid continuing education, and a host of other benefits that are rare for massage employers to give in the industry. 2022 marked the first year a therapist participated in the American Massage Championship. This was also the year True Massage expanded into it's second location in Weldon Spring. It is a huge expansion going from 2 small rooms up to 10 large rooms and an in house chiropractor. In 2023 we will be sending two therapists to compete in the World Championship Massage in Copenhagen and we cannot be more excited.
