Dr. Michael was born and raised in Egypt. He is a graduate of Cairo University and received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Dominican College, NYC. He moved to the United States in 2001 where he has been practicing PT since. He one of the few therapists certified to treat Lymphedema patients. He has worked with neurological and orthopedic patients, pre-post surgical patients and vestibular patients. He has a variety of experience including working in hospitals, home care, rehabilitation clinics and outpatient setting. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing soccer.Amir Nawar is the founder of St. Mary Rehabilitation. Amir - "I believe that the best experience comes from the patient. When we listen to the patient and engage in their plan of care, we pick up on little details. That's why the first visit is the most critical. At St Mary I wanted to create a different kind of experience. One where you are heard and your goals are met. I place a very high emphasis on communication and continued education. By far St Mary Rehabilitation Physical Therapy is the best one I’ve ever visited, I’ve been to a couple other therapy places but none of them were like St Mary. I started going there for my TMJ problem and after a couple of months I feel so much better and I can almost say my problem is solved! The place is so clean and everyone there makes everything really easy! The receptionists are so friendly and helpful, they make sure to always work around your schedule and to get you in and out without having to wait a long time. The staff in the back are always beside you making sure you get all your exercises done currently and help along the way, as soon as your done they get you in a room to to see the therapist there. The therapist are super helpful and they care a lot for their patients, they are always ready to answer all your questions, give you advice, and help you as much as possible to feel better. I would definitely recommend this place for everyone because you will not regret it! If you want to feel better, choose St Mary and they get the job done!
