Hiza (pronounced Hee-za) Mbwana is the principal and founder of KimbiaPhysio, LLC| Dynamic Sports & Orthopedic Physiotherapy, a Maryland-based physical therapy practice specializing in treating sports-related orthopedic and musculoskeletal disorders. He attended Northeastern University and earned his degree in 2007 as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and has been practicing in Maryland ever since. In 2010 Washington Magazine listed Hiza as one of the top Physical Therapists in the D.C. area.Kimbia Physio, LLC is the result of one Physical Therapist's frustration dealing with Insurance providers and Medicare regulations. Rushing and treating multiple patients at a time and dealing with the ever mounting paperwork took away from patient care and wasn't an option for me anymore. I started a Cash-Based Physical Therapy practice to allow myself to dedicate more time to my patients. I'm proud to be a Physical Therapist and have never been happier.
