I first sought acupuncture treatment from Dr. JeYoung Yun in 2006. In 2004, I was exiting my pickup truck on a very icy morning, and my feet went completely out from under me. I was in free-fall. My only option was to grab the D-ring handle above the door with my right hand. This effectively stopped my fall, but the entire weight of my 250 pound body snapped to a stop - springing my shoulder and upper back. I lived in PAIN for the next two years. I tried my medical doctor - who prescribed pain pills; I tried a chiropractor - whose manipulations only temporarily alleviated the pain; I tried the expensive pain specialists - who wanted to shoot my joint full of cortisone; I tried myofascial release - which had some soothing effects. BUT, I was still in constant PAIN! My shoulder muscles burned - to write with a pen - or use a mouse/keyboard - or drive a vehicle was a constant burning agony. One Sunday at church, I was complaining about my condition and a small woman approached me and said: "Have you tried acupuncture?" I said: "I don't believe in the Voodoo stuff." She said that I should consider it - it had worked wonders for her. Two weeks later again I was complaining about pain, and she again approached me. “Did you go see Dr. Yun” she asked? "NO!" I said. She then said, "If you don't make an appointment this week, I am going to take you by your hand and drag you there myself." I said: "I do not like the idea pins being pushed into me." She said: "Be a man. What is worst - to endure your constant pain - or - a little pin prick? If you can't take that - quit your whining and complaining!" I WENT. In fact, Dr. Yun's acupuncture treatments cured my pain completely in about three weeks. It has never returned in 19 years. Since that time I have referred several friends and family to him - all with such good results. In fact, they have in turn referred their associates to him. You will also like Dr. Yun personally. He is intelligent, well-spoken and multi lingual, funny, and empathetic to you in your condition of pain. I enjoy an appointment just to get a chance to talk to him. He is a positive, compassionate person and this is manifested in his care. Allow me to address the two most common concerns that I hear, and you may feel. I DO NOT BELIEVE IN THAT ANCIENT ALTERNATIVE "MEDICINE" STUFF. I am a modern person and believe in modern medicine. I say to you - acupuncture has been around for some 5000 years - if it didn't work it would have died out and gone away long ago. Try modern medical alternatives. Frequently they work out well. Great, then you are healed. BUT, if, like me, the modern approach doesn't work - give acupuncture a try. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO LOOSE? YOUR PAIN! I personally found these procedures to work extremely well. I go to Dr. Yun whenever I have a muscle pain issue. His treatments have to date always permanently solved my pain problem. ISN'T THAT WHAT YOU WANT? I DO NOT LIKE PINS BEING PUSHED INTO ME. - or - I can't stand the idea - I do not like needles. I felt the same way. But this has been my experience, and I have had up to 40 acupuncture needles inserted at one time on which to base this recommendation, I cannot feel most of them at all. The only ones in which I experience a pin prick the sensation upon insertion - the pain is instantaneous and then it is gone. I DO NOT feel any extended pin stabbing discomfort sensation during the session, even though I know they are there. In fact, I now look forward to feeling the prick of pain, because that is the point where the center of where pain energy is located, and in finding that negative energy point the procedure can be localized to alleviate the major pain issue. ASK YOUR SELF – “IS MY CONSTANT PAIN BAD ENOUGH FOR ME TO GAIN ENOUGH COURAGE TO ENDURE A TWO SECOND PIN PRICK?” Over the 19 years, I have returned to him for numerous issues particularly knee pain. He is always a joy to work with and BEST OF ALL, the treatments WORK! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM. IF IN PAIN - CALL HIM - NOW!!!!
