Dr. Gaila Mackenzie-Strawn is a Board Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, Doctor of Natural Medicine & Traditional Naturopathic Physician who has over 30 years of experience treating and educating both patients and other healthcare practitioners in the field of natural medicine. Her passion in life is to help others regain and maintain good health and she believes that information and education are the keys to having optimum health. Dr. Gaila holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Nutrition and Biology and is a board certified, licensed Chiropractic Physician (DC) in the state of California. She completed hospital rotations and all required courses for a Medical Degree (MD) and has lectured extensively, both publicly and to physicians groups, on the subject of integrative medicine and health. Her passion is to help those who have tried everything and nothing has worked.In 1979, I made a life changing decision. Having suffered with severe abdominal pain since the age of 2, I decided to find a solution. Since conventional medicine did not have any answers for me, I spent years studying natural medicine until I was able to come up with the answers. Do you feel like no one has truly understood your pain or taken the time to find the answers for you? I can relate because I have experienced it. What I love most in life is to discover the underlying cause of symptoms and create a plan to bring about relief. I have found the inflammation from undiagnosed allergies, imbalanced gut bacteria, improper diet and nutritional deficiencies is the root of almost all health problems. Once properly diagnosed and addressed, most patients find relief from their misery and frustration and can once again enjoy life.
