Hello, my name is Theresa M Kane and I am the owner of TMK - Health & Wellness Inc. I am a licensed and board certified massage therapist in Wayne, Pennsylvania. I've been in practice for over 31 years. I specialize in Neuromuscular Trigger Point Therapy and Myofascial Release Technique, which I use in tandem to address acute and chronic muscle soft tissue injuries. My unique full body approach focuses on balancing the musculoskeletal (muscles and bones) and biomechanical (how the body moves) systems of the body. I incorporate the use of ROCKTAPE® and orthopedic exercises to re-educate the musculature, reduce pain and swelling. When this approach is taken, the body's own innate healing abilities are enhanced, recovery time is hastened and balance is returned, allowing for the body to work optimally.TMK Health & Wellness, Inc. was established in 2013 and is owned by Theresa M. Kane Licensed and Board Certified Massage therapist specializing in Neuromuscular Trigger Point Therapy and Myofascial Release Technique. Prior to opening my own Wayne, PA office in 2005, I spent many years working with chiropractors, as an independent contractor. I graduated from the Pennsylvania School of Muscle Therapy in King of Prussia, PA, in 1990, now known as Cortiva Institute. Early in my practice, I focused on working with clients who competed in marathons, biathlons, and triathlons which helped to enhance their performance and hastened their recovery time. I had the pleasure of attending many of the major sporting events including the Philadelphia Marathon, Boston Marathon, Marine Corps Marathon and the Iron Man Triathlon in Kona, Hawaii. Now, my practice focuses on working with athletes of all ages and levels in competitive and non-competitive sports.
