Tim Zelch, DPT, COMT, Cert MDT, CMTPT received his BS in Rehabilitation Science and then his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh. His interests are in outpatient orthopedics, in particular spine pathology.Tim Zelch, DPT, Dip MDT, COMT, CMTPT received his BS in Rehabilitation Science and then his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh. His interests are in outpatient orthopedics, in particular spine pathology. In his postdoctoral training he obtained certifications in McKenzie's Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment (Cert MDT), Maitland's Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT), MyoPain's Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist (CMTPT). To further his expertise with spine and extremities he completed the McKenzie Institute International Diploma MDT (Dip MDT) program through the University of Dundee Scotland. Worldwide there are fewer than 500 Physical Therapist that have accomplished this level of training and he is the only one in the state of Maryland. As a leader in the profession he organizes and leads monthly study group meetings for Maryland, Virginia, and DC Physical Therapists, Chiropractors, and Physicians.
