John Mackarey is Clinical Director of, and Physical Therapist at, Spear's Long Island City - CityView clinic. He earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Temple University in 2017 and a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences from Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA in 2013. During his time at Temple University, his clinical experience included cardiopulmonary ICU, vestibular/balance, orthopedics, and neurological rehabilitation. These experiences fostered a passion for evidence-based treatment with a special interest in low back and vestibular disorders. It is his intent to formulate treatment plans using the most current physical therapy approaches, supported through research. John implements a variety of manual therapy techniques that are individualized for each of his patients which helps expedite their recovery.We knew from the start, in order to service New Yorkers the way they expect to be serviced, we would quite simply need to be the best at what we do.
