Dr. Brant Pedersen (DC, CCSP®) graduated from UCSC with his pre-med degree in biology. He went on to graduate as valedictorian from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in 2004 and subsequently opened his clinic in Los Gatos. Dr. Pedersen's professional interests are family practice and sports medicine. In late 2008 he became board-certified as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician. He has held a part-time adjunct faculty position at Palmer College of Chiropractic since 2004. Dr. Pedersen has served as a consultant within the medical industry and provided humanitarian chiropractic care to hundreds of patients while traveling abroad in South America. He volunteers annually at the San Francisco Breast Cancer 3-Day as the Sports Medicine team captain. He has also served as a board member of the California Chiropractic Association. When he is not helping patients, Dr. Pedersen can be found surfing, snowboarding, or sailing with his wife and two sons.Dr. Brant Pedersen decided to become a chiropractor when he was fifteen, competing as a professional windsurfer. He had a chronic pain in his left hip that his M.D. told him to treat with anti-inflammatories and pain medications. He didn't like that drugs were his only option. Out of frustration with the option presented he sought out chiropractic care. The chiropractor balanced his muscles and adjusted his hip. Within two visits he was pain-free and fully functional. He has never had a problem with his hips since those two treatments at age fifteen. Opening Positive Motion Chiropractic was Dr. Pedersen's dream for many years. To have a unique health care clinic where he could provide individualized, evidenced-based, conservative medicine options to his patients. In 2004 that dream became a reality. In 2010 our success allowed us to open a new larger facility on Los Gatos Blvd across from Whole Foods. We plan on being a part of the South Bay community for many decades to come.
