Dr. Robert Nielsen graduated from the University of British Columbia with a BPE degree in 1985 and went on to obtain a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1990. Dr. Nielsen is a certified provider and lead instructor of Active Release Techniques (ART). He has been providing treatment to the BC Lions since 2000 and has celebrated two Grey Cup wins with the team. Dr. Nielsen is an avid triathlete and has competed internationally in triathlon at an age group level racing at the World Championships in 1998, 1999 and 2002. He has also completed the Ironman Canada and Ironman Hawaii. Every summer since 1999 he has been part of the treatment team providing ART to the competitors at the Ironman Canada in Penticton.The Performance Health Group are the official providers to the BC Lions football clubs, as well as numerous NHL hockey players, Olympic and National team members (e.g. track and field, triathlons, alpine skiing, power lifting, rugby, soccer, squash...) and professional dancers. We have provided treatment at the Olympic Games, Pan American Games, the Commonwealth Games, and the Ironman Triathlon in Penticton. With that said, a good part of our practice centers on the office worker and recreational athletes.
