Ellora Maggs is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist. She has full body certification in Active Release Technique (ART) and is an instructor of this technique at national conferences. Additionally, she is an instructor for the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), which is the medical component of the Functional Movement System (FMS). She has been utilizing this system with great success since Peak Performance Care opened in 2011. She is also certified in the Graston Technique. She employs a hands-on treatment approach utilizing a variety of manual therapy techniques. Ellora believes that the body is meant to move and be active. Therefore, she places great emphasis on resolving altered movement patterns with specific exercises that match her clients' abilities and goals, as well as maximizing overall health and function. Her experience as a Strong First Kettlebell Instructor as well as her experience in the FMS system allows her to createPeak Performance Care prides itself in providing exceptional physical therapy care that is personalized to each client and their goals. Clients can expect an emphasis on education as Dr. Weston prioritizes prevention as a cornerstone of her treatment approach. Additionally, clients can expect a healthy mix of hands-on manual therapy and movement/corrective exercises to ensure a complete recovery and to best prevent recurrence. We do not use aides in the office, and so the entirety of your session is spent with the physical therapist. Dr. Weston places high priority on the need to stay current in the field, and is frequently attending or teaching national conferences on a variety of topics.
