By partnering with our athletes to develop healthy lifestyles, Next Level takes a radical approach to physical therapy that transcends traditional rehabilitation. Our approach was born from the belief that athletes, young or old, of any skill level, deserve to live an active life. To us, it is fundamental that we develop long-term client relationships and build a genuine community of athletes and active people who share our goals of whole body health and fitness. Whether a client is seeking treatment for an injury or wants a partner in performance coaching, we walk alongside them and mentor them on their journey to the next level. Our philosophy comes down to three words: Move, Excel, and Inspire. Through individualized therapy and conditioning, we work with our active clients to help them move correctly, painlessly, and skillfully. Our strengthening, conditioning, and performance coaching helps them excel to the next level. Finally, as our clients reach their aspirations, we encouragNext Level was founded by Dr. Jerry Yoo, a licensed doctor of physical therapy. Dr. Yoo received his Masters in Science in Physical Therapy at Columbia University, and later earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rutgers University's School of Health Related Professions. He spent the next decade and a half working in the public and private sectors as a doctor of physical therapy, including with the NYC Department of Education, with children with special needs. In the private sector, he worked as the clinical director and mentoring clinician, running daily clinical operations, teaching as an adjunct faculty member at several doctoral programs, and refining his approach to training and rehabilitation. A Crossfit Level 1 and Endurance Coach, triathlete, and Spartan, Dr. Yoo implements some of the key foundational training principles where appropriate, when working with active clients.
