Dr. Mark Lusk Dr. Lusk opened MVMT to address the specific needs of the urban athlete. Previously a professional dancer, he understands first-hand the impact of injuries on athletic performance and emotional well-being. He has a deep passion to help his patients achieve their highest goals, whether it is returning to the box, logging their first century, finishing a marathon or simply walking a mile without pain. It is this drive that guides every bit of continuing education, in order to bring the most cutting edge and effective treatments to the patient. An avid urban athlete himself, Dr. Lusk graduated from Hunter College with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. He is a Certified Functional Manual Therapist (Honors), a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist, certified in the FMS and SFMA screening tools, and a certified Rock Doc practitioner. He has also worked as a physical therapist on over 60 Broadway shows.MVMT was created to address the specific needs of the urban athlete. At the heart of our approach is a 1-to-1 treatment philosophy - your session is yours and yours alone. We take a global view of the body to address your own movement dysfunctions and an active, movement-based treatment system to restore function.
