Dr. Matt is the founder of Modern Physical Therapy. He has over 10 years of experience in orthopedic and sports physical therapy. He is a Certified Manual Therapist (MTC) through the University of St. Augustine. He is also the only active McKenzie Instutite member certified in the McKenzie Method (Cert. MDT) in the East Amherst/Clarence region. He is a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor through the Titleist Performance Institute, where he performs a physical screen to help determine physical limitations leading to swing faults and pain. He previously led a golf program treating the casual golfer, all the way up to amateur professionals. Dr. Matt currently offers these skills through the Modern Golf Rehab & Performance program. In addition to his certifications, he has extensive post graduate education in the Graston Technique, a type of Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), Kinesiology taping, and corrective exercise.Dr. Matthew Trebes, founder of Modern Physical Therapy, is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with over 10 years of experience in orthopedic and sports physical therapy. He is a native of Williamsville, NY and attended the University at Buffalo. Upon graduation, he moved to North Carolina where he was in many leadership and managerial roles. He was exposed to many clinical management strategies which emphasized excellent patient care and individualized treatments. He recently moved back to WNY and wished to continue providing excellent service in his home town. This is when Modern Physical Therapy was born. Modern Physical Therapy is a clinic where patients are seen on a one-on-one basis, and personalized progressive treatments are emphasized. Your visits will focus on various skilled treatments, and will be constantly adjusted to meet your ever changing needs.
