Dr. Gavin Weir is the owner and founder of Method Athletics. He received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from U.S. News Report's #1 ranked physical therapy program at Washington University in St. Louis' School of Medicine and has worked as a strength coach for 6 years. Gavin has completed clinical clerkships in orthopedics, pediatrics, and sport rehabilitation, culminating in the opening of our facility in Frankfort. His mission is to treat the individual, not the disease, focusing on restoring function through safe and effective exercise and movement. He has effectively treated and trained athletes at the high-school, collegiate, Olympic, and professional level and continues to do so with a relentless passion for high-quality movement and evidence-based practice. Dr. Weir is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as well as certified in Emergency Response for the Athlete (ERA).Method Athletics is a locally owned physical therapy clinic that began with a stubborn determination to provide the highest quality physical therapy and performance training support to active individuals including high level and recreational athletes. We have aimed to pride ourselves on availability, accountability, and transparency: patients and clients will always know the "why" of what they are doing and how it directly translates to their functional goals. Personal relationships are important to us, and every patient or client has been considered a member of our family and treated as such since day one.
