Dr. Velma D

Lakeview Physical Therapy began in 2008 under the ownership of Dr. Davis- Wheeler. Dr. Davis- Wheeler's experience includes treatment of professional dance injuries, low back pain, and orthopedic and neurological diagnoses, including treatment of knee, hip, and shoulder surgeries. Specifically, she is passionate about pelvic floor strengthening and restorative pilates and continues to do independent research in these areas. Dr. Davis- Wheeler believes that many health issues and injuries can be prevented or delayed with community education. She volunteers in community events, including local schools and churches, providing educational information about her specialties. Currently, she teaches a weekly Senior Health and Wellness class at the Lakeview Public Library, where she focuses on holistic health education, including coordination, balance and strengthening exercises for people over the age of 60.
