A local to Alaska, Dr. Jade Ekle attended the University of Tampa receiving his Bachelor's degree in Allied Health and Exercise Science and a Minor in Psychology. After graduating cum laude, he attended the University of Saint Augustine due to its superior reputation in manual therapy, orthopedics, and manipulation. He graduated with his Doctorate in physical therapy and high honors. Immediately following, Dr. Ekle became the clinic director and partner of a world famous spine institute in Aspen, Colorado. During this time he pursued an aggressive continuing education path by achieving certified specialties in Manual Therapy, Strength and Conditioning, and Biomedical Dry Needling. Jade then ventured around the country as a traveling physical therapist, attempting to absorb as much clinical knowledge and expertise before making his final footprint back home to Alaska.Dr. Ekle has enjoyed his life competing in baseball, wrestling, mixed martial arts, and backcountry snowboarding. His inspiration for JADED began as a young boy. Dr. Ekle was raised by his widowed mother who has battled most of her life spent on long-term disability and narcotic pain medication. She was diagnosed early on with Multiple Sclerosis, and chronic neck pain and underwent multiple cervical fusion surgeries. Jade was raised without health insurance and spent most of his childhood with the emergency room as his only access to medical care. Dr. Ekle also has plenty of personal experience with injury. Before the age of 30, Jade has had the misadventure of 4 broken ankles, a dislocated hip, a fractured low back, a torn ACL and MCL in his knee, a broken wrist, multiple shoulder dislocations, a torn rotator cuff an glenoid labrum, and multiple concussions. Jade has utilized these experiences to enhance his philosophies of treatment and his mission at JADED.
