Dr. Erik Van Slooten is the Owner / Manager of the Holladay Chiropractic Center. As a second generation chiropractor following his father's foot steps, he uniquely stewards a family lineage of vibrant faith, dedication to high-touch service and a brilliant love for chiropractic. He graduated from Life Chiropractic College West, followed by an internship with The Institute for Advanced Care in Chiropractic. Together with his wife, Dr. Erik began his professional chiropractic services in 2009 at The Specific Chiropractic Center in Dublin, CA. He transitioned to the Holladay Chiropractic Center in 2011 and has further refined his expertise in several chiropractic techniques (toggle recoil, drop table, activator, logan basic, gonstead and extremity). He loves caring for families in all stages, particularly pregnant and pediatric care.Dr. Jim Van Slooten founded the Holladay Chiropractic Center in 1978, following his graduation from Palmer College of Chiropractic. His genuine love for chiropractic, technical expertise and heart of care made for a thriving practice that lasts to this day. In 2014, Dr. Jim passed away due to melanoma. His son, Dr. Erik, a graduate of Life Chiropractic College West, immediately continued with the vision that started in 1978. Having mentored with his father for over three years, Dr. Erik carries the torch of chiropractic that Dr. Jim lit to burn brightly in the Salt Lake Valley. Located in the heart of the city of Millcreek, the Holladay Chiropractic Center exists to inspire our world to flourish with our head, hands and heart.

The Standard in Spinal Care for 47 Years Holladay Chiropractic has been changing lives through excellence in chiropractic care for 47 years. In addition to addressing common chiropractic issues such as back pain, neck pain, headaches and sciatica, we specialize in pediatric, pre-natal care, sports injuries and auto-injuries using a variety of gentle chiropractic techniques: Activator methods, IMPAC instrument, SOT, toftness and Logan Basic. These methods all focus on optimizing the function of the nerve system, inherently allowing the body to heal from within. Owing to our depth of experience in this arena, we regularly receive referrals from pediatricians, physical therapists, personal trainers, mid-wives mother's support groups. We have a unique clinical focus on education. Our examination routinely involves the use of x-ray, a gold standard of measurement / analysis, visible to both the Dr. and patient in initial and follow-up assessments. We facilitate spinal workshops open to practice members and the public every Tuesday at 6:30pm. These workshops cover a significant breadth of topics: posture, tech-neck, spinal hygiene, therapeutic / corrective exercises, ergonomics, sleep and more. We support the athletic community in local high schools and colleges. We serve football, basketball, baseball, softball and other sports injuries. We adjust jaws, shoulders, elbows, wrists, knee and ankles.
