Jessica Stare Valant, MSPT, received her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy Degree in 2000. The next year she had the opportunity to train under Lise Stoltz and received her Polestar certification as a Pilates Instructor. Her work in various orthopedic outpatient settings exposed her to many injuries and ailments, and she discovered that PT, Pilates and proper nutrition worked together in the rehab of these clients. She moved to Hawaii from Denver in 2006, and quickly realized there wasn't anywhere clients could find both physical therapy and Pilates. Wanting to combine these areas to give the best client care possible, she opened Harmony Pilates & Physical Therapy in 2007 in Kailua.Harmony Pilates & Physical Therapy quickly became the premiere location for physical therapy and Pilates in Hawaii. Harmony was started by physical therapist and PMA Certified Pilates instructor Jessica Valant. Wanting to create a serene space where people could discover how amazing true health is and the benefits of physical therapy and Pilates, she opened Harmony's first studio in Kailua in 2007. A second location was added in Aina Haina, Honolulu in the spring of 2012, which has now relocated to Manoa Market Place. Their services have expanded to meet client needs, but their core values of customer service and making fitness fun and attainable for all have stayed the same.
