David is a 2002 graduate and past instructor of Charlotte's Southeastern Institute (School of Massage and Neuromuscular Therapy.) In 13 years of professional massage, he has worked at Modern Salon and Spa, and the Ballantyne Hotel. David is also an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer, helping his clients with exercises that can benefit their posture. Karen is a 2007 graduate of Southeastern School of Massage and Neuromuscular Therapy. She is also an AFAA certified personal trainer, and has taught yoga in Charlotte-area spas and fitness centers. Her work experience includes Urbana, Charlotte Athletic Club, and Flex and Fit. Karen also taught Yoga as a part of Central Piedmont Community College's physical education curriculum.In the Spring of 2010, David and Karen Parks opened Elements of Bodywork, a professional therapeutic massage studio.
