Born and raised in Burlington, Iowa. Undergraduate work at Southeastern Community College in West Burlington, IA. Attended Palmer College of Chiropractic from 1986-1989. Attended International Institute of Chinese Medicine from 1996-1999.I started Chiropractic care after graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1989. Practiced in the Quad Cities for a year before coming to Sterling, Illinois. Practiced for 6 years before putting my practice on hold to attend the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in Santa Fe, NM. Graduated in 1999, then returned to Sterling to open Carlson Acupuncture and Chiropractic Clinic. Moved the practice to Dixon, Illinois in 2014.

What we do in our office is Functional Medicine. What that means is we will work toward uncovering the root cause of your health condition, then incorporate the services we do to restore your optimal health. These services include: Chiropractic care, Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, nutritional counseling, decompression, BEMER therapy, Oxygen therapy, and blood chemistry's.
