Sushma graduated from Ithaca College Physical Therapy program 1985 and then went on to complete her Manual therapy certification in 2000 from the Institute of Graduate Physical Therapy in St. Augustine, Florida. Before settling in the Kansas City area she had the privilege of working at top rated facilities such as Johns Hopkins and New England Baptist Hospital learning from some of the most reputable physicians in the country. Prior to opening her practice she was employed at Saint Luke's Hospital where she played an integral part in developing, the system wide ergonomics program. She has taught classes on exercise, joint protection, spinal dysfunctions and ergonomics to nurse case managers, the general public and her peers. Her manual therapy background has allowed her to provide effective care in the management of spinal dysfunctions, and orthopedic injuries including joint replacements, shoulder/knee injuries and overuseBody In Motion was created in 2001, with the focus of providing one on one skilled physical therapy services for spine and orthopedic patients. Over the next 10 years, we would continue to change many lives. Through our strong referral base, 95% retention rate of previous clients and our ever growing "word of mouth " referrals, Body in Motion, PC has evolved into a "niche" practice in the heart of Prairie Village, Kansas. Our 3500 square foot facility boasts state of the art equipment, easy, ground level entry and a friendly staff that always aim to please.
