Dr. John Reitz is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and has been in practice serving Sheboygan for over 15 years. Dr. John is committed to being very well-rounded so that he can help all types of people reach their goals. He holds certifications in nutrition, golf, and whiplash, and has extensive training in exercise rehabilitation and exercise training. He believes that health is a combination of physical health, nutritional health, and mental health; all of which are addressed at Better Life Chiropractic and Wellness.Dr John Reitz suffered a severe spinal injury during his senior year at Sheboygan Falls High School. While sledding at Rochester Park, he went off a ramp and injured his back. An ambulance ride to the hospital, xrays, and exam later, he was told to go home and rest for a week. After that time, and no resolution in symptoms, he returned for more xrays and was diagnosed with a broken vertebrae in his spine. He went through the medical approach of a solid, custom-made, plastic brace for a month and after that time was told he was fine. No other recommendations were given and he went to undergrad wanting to be a medical doctor or physical therapist. After a career day at UW-LaCrosse, and recommendation to see a chiropractor there, the rest is history. He immediately changed his mission in life as he saw the immense benefit and what chiropractic is and does. Without that injury, he never would have been exposed to the power of chiropractic.
