Dr. Shakeri specializes in treating football, tennis, soccer players and other athletes, as well as martial artist and people who depend on their bodies' smooth functioning. He first became involved with chiropractic when, as a young rugby player, he sought relief for his own injuries. He graduated from Life Chiropractic College West, with specialized training in neurology (the effect of chiropractic on the nervous system) and completed an internship in sports chiropractic at Dr. Nick Athens Clinic. In addition to his general practice at Berkeley Chiropractic Clinic, Dr. Shakeri has treated many of the athletes from Cal football team to Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers. Dr. Shakeri uses a "whole person approach". This approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time) and make whatever interventions and lifestyle adjustments that would optimize the conditions for normal function.We started in a small room in 2002 in the area of south Berkeley . We continually grew in business and after 10 years of service we moved to north Berkeley ( corner of Shattuck and cedar) . We are happy to see new patients and serve them with open arms. We also offer free parking !!
