Drs. Jay and Mabel Austin graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa in 1911. That same year they moved to San Jose, CA to start what would become the Austin family legacy. After graduating from Northern California Chiropractic College, their son Abbott Austin joined the practice in 1936. After that, Abbott's son, Douglas Austin began working at the practice after graduating from Los Angeles Chiropractic College in 1957. Dr. Douglas Austin's sons, Thomas and Richard, both graduated from Los Angeles Chiropractic College and joined the practice in 1983. The most recent addition to the practice is Thomas's daughter, Dr. Meghan Dowling, who graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic West just in time for the practice's 100 year anniversary in December 2011.
