Dr. Marco A Vargas graduated from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, Florida in 1997. He is now board certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, and in foot surgery and primary podiatric medicine by the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. Dr. Vargas actually was a former team podiatrist for the Miami Fusion of Major League Soccer and then he moved to Sugar Land, TX to open the doors of his new practice, which is Foot & Ankle Associates. He is also a current member of the Plex Sports Medicine team. He specializes in sports injuries because he use to be a college football player himself and knows what it takes to work hard and protect yourself from injuries. His hobbies include cooking, traveling and working out with his wife and kids.Dr. Marco Vargas moved to Sugar Land, Texas from Florida to start a new practice that specialized in all aspects of podiatric medicine with emphasis on sports medicine and surgery. Foot & Ankle Associates is that practice! Dr. Vargas opened the doors or the Sugar Land office in February of 2000, and then later added the Richmond office.
