Dr. Heather, a native of Nevada County with roots in the picturesque town of Nevada City, followed in the footsteps of her chiropractor father, Dr. Dale Jacobson DC. Complementing her chiropractic expertise, Dr. Heather specializes in cranial sacral therapy, myofascial release, and Functional Medicine, all with a central focus on vitality. Her holistic approach goes beyond the physical realm, considering the complete tapestry of your health. Driven by her passion for fostering meaningful connections, she cherishes the deep relationships she forms with her patients and their families. In her personal life, Dr. Heather is a loving mother to three sons, and she relishes the moments spent with them and her husband, Luke, as they explore and appreciate the beauty of our world.Welcome to our family practice, formerly known as Jacobson Chiropractic. Dr. Heather Hunt, DC, has been serving the community since 2009, while her father, Dr. Dale Jacobson, DC, has been a trusted practitioner since 1979. Dr. Hunt specializes in many aspects of care, including general chiropractic, cranial sacral therapy, Functional Medicine, pregnancy, postpartum, pediatric, and infant care. Heather & Annie are a miracle workers! I first went to Heather at 37 weeks pregnant. My goal was to open up my pelvis as much as possible for my baby to come out with ease. She also helped me SO much with my back pain I was experiencing. Her and Annie's craniosacral work on me was something I’ve never experienced before. I felt SO relaxed and at ease in my body after. Their knowledge and expertise made me feel safe and they provided such amazing insight with pregnancy. The day before my 41 week mark, I went in for an appointment and on the way home from that appointment my water broke and I immediately went into labor. I truly believe Heather helped put me into labor! Unfortunately, my son and I had a fairly traumatic birth and I ended up having to have an emergency c-section. My son has 4 ties in his mouth and was struggling the first few weeks of his life with latching, colic, and gas. I was struggling immensely emotionally from our birth and with the plethora of information being thrown at me from so many "professionals". After a few sessions, my son was SO much happier and more comfortable in his body. Heather has helped me heal my heart since the birth of my son. I've blocked out the noise from everyone else and feel so lucky to have Heather help with her immense knowledge.

It can be hard to trust a provider with your tiny baby but I’m here to say that Heather is not only nurturing and caring but also very intuitive and experienced. She has helped my newborn immensely with both latch and digestion. Additionally, she helped my toddler when she was dragging a leg crawling, and she brought me immense relief while I was pregnant too. I can’t say enough good things about Heather as both a provider and a human. She will care for you and your children like she does her own family.
