Pam is a '79 graduate of State University of New York at Buffalo and went on to receive her clinical doctorate in '15 from Utica College. Her greatest expertise is in the evaluation and treatment of complex medical clients. Pam enjoys the challenge of applying a creative approach with sound scientific principles to the art of physical therapy. Pam's most extensive clinical training is in the area of workplace analysis, functional capacity evaluation, manual therapy and lymphatic drainage techniques/Lymphedema management. She received a Lymphedema certification LLCC through the Upledger Institute and her lymphatic work was profiled in the 2004 Washington Post article "A Bone of Contention". She also did a poster presentation at the 2015 VPTA conference on "Lymphatic drainage for treatment of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation".Co-owners Pam Wood, PT, DPT and Diane Stroud, PT, DPT, Adv. Certified Rolfer each had home based practices in the 1980s, but joined together and worked side by side in a small office space in Virginia Square. After several years of working side by side in a small cash based practice, they slowly out grew their office space, relocated to Ballston in 2004 and finally to a quiet setting in Fairlington in 2017.
