A native of Utica, Dr. Julia Jaikin grew up playing multiple sports, which resulted in numerous concussions. During her senior year of high school, she suffered from debilitating migraines causing her to seek medical attention. After a year full of consultations with neurologists, numerous brain studies and multiple medications, her migraines were still present. Dr. Julia’s mother was not content with her treatment protocol and brought her to a chiropractor. After 3 visits to the chiropractor, Dr. Julia was migraine free. After being referred to as a “medical mystery” by her neurologist, Dr. Julia recognized the short-comings of the medical world. This experience was life-changing and resulted in Dr. Julia exploring the non-traditional, non-pharmaceutical approach to managing pain.
