Dr. Robert Shaw

I found Shaw Family Chiropractic out of a moment of desperation after waking up with debilitating headaches and migraines for a year and a half. I spent most of my days walking around trying to crack my own neck, feeling the tension and a very obvious pain that was constant between the base of my skull and my neck. One day I woke up with one of the worst migraines I have ever had and decided that I couldn't take it anymore, I googled local chiropractors despite being on state insurance and knowing most places don't take my insurance. I came across this place and I can't express my gratitude enough. They offer a same day diagnosis and adjustment for just under $100 and I immediately drove myself down there. From entering the door I was greeted with a friendly and welcoming smile by Dr. Robert Shaw. From my appointment we talked about the pain I was in and what areas bother me the most, I was educated on my spinal structure and nervous structure which was fascinating, I was diagnosed WITHOUT an x-ray. Which is what makes this place even more impressive. Because Dr. Shaw was spot on about each area I needed help with. What blew my mind was the doctor was able to see and diagnose a hip issue that I didn't EVEN BRING UP at the appointment. My hip had been bothering me for quite some time (but the headaches were more important for me) Within my first appointment I recieved my first adjustment to my neck along with various other places of my spine that had always given me a hard time over the last 15 years. By my second appointment my headaches and migraines were gone. I'm going on maybe 8 or so adjustments so far and I have not had a single headache in 8 weeks! I can't believe I waited so long to treat myself. I can't believe what clarity I have each day now being headache free. I could cry about it honestly. I can't say enough great things about this place, Dr. Robert Shaw is such a people person, who truly cares about his line of work and helping people. Another great experience I had with him, as he doesn't take appointments, (you just show up on days he's open and when its convenient for you) I drove down here one day shortly before the holidays, the doctor had a printed schedule out for customers to take because he had some days out of the office, I had drove down there, walked up to the door to see a closed sign, because I forgot to look at his schedule, and as I was walking away, the doctor opened the door and said, "come on in, I have a few minutes before I have to get to the airport," He took me in and adjusted me despite having other obligations, I was very grateful for the service. And to be treated so kindly!! I can't say that any other business has let me in on days they're closed. Moral of my review is, you don't need insurance, it's a flat rate fee of $50 or so to be adjusted and the schedule is at your leisure. He is incredibly knowledgeable and very much passionate about his craft!

Very clean place! Dr. Shaw was so kind and welcoming my first visit there. He made me feel so comfortable and most importantly, he card for my pain! He explained my pain and my treatment plan at a perfect pace. I look forward to going back for my follow ups!

Having been the recipient of both the soft wave therapy and the shockwave therapy, I can tell you for certain, the shockwave therapy is definitely the way to go. (Please do not misunderstand me, the soft wave therapy definitely has some benefits) I am astonished, but not surprised, that insurance companies have yet to embrace this form of therapy. As of the time that I am leaving this review, I have had three shockwave therapy appointments at Shaw chiropractic from Dr. Gina, and Dr. Rob. I had heard from a friend in my church that Shaw chiropractic was offering shockwave therapy. In my initial consultation, they explained to me all the benefits of shockwave therapy and the differences between shockwave and soft wave therapy. I felt no pressure from either of them when it came to signing up for the therapy. I had gone to them because I have arthritis in both of My thumbs and it has been very painful. I explained that arthritis Runs in my family, and I was concerned that I would never find relief. I am happy to say that after only three treatments, the pain in both of my thumbs has subsided tremendously, I am able to sleep at night, AND I am able to do more things than I could before. I only have four Sessions left, and am confident that by the time I am finished the pain in my thumbs will be gone. I would like to personally thank Dr’s Rob and Gina for all they do. And heck, while I’m there I get on the table and get an adjustment from Dr. Rob. If you’re experiencing pain in ANY joints, I strongly recommend Shaw Chiropractic and Shock Wave Therapy.
