What Is Retained
By law, healthcare providers must retain medical records for the period required by their state (typically 7–10 years for adults, longer for minors). This means:
- Clinical records created by providers during your care remain in their systems.
- Billing records required for tax and insurance purposes are retained per legal requirements.
Account deletion removes your platform access but cannot override provider record retention obligations.
