How to Book an Appointment

Online Booking

Providers with online booking enabled show a Book Appointment button on their profile. The booking process works as follows:

  1. Select the provider and practice location.
  2. Choose the type of visit (initial consultation, follow-up, specific treatment).
  3. Pick an available date and time from the real-time calendar.
  4. Review and confirm your information, insurance details, and the reason for your visit.
  5. Submit your booking request. You will receive a confirmation email immediately.

Confirmation & Reminders

After booking, you'll receive:

  • An immediate email confirmation with appointment details
  • A reminder 48 hours before your appointment
  • A final reminder 2 hours before

Pre-Visit Intake Forms

Many providers will send digital intake forms to your Medximity account after booking. Complete these before your visit to reduce wait times and ensure your provider has all necessary information. You'll receive a notification when new forms are assigned.

Insurance Verification

When you add your insurance during booking, the system will verify basic coverage with the provider's accepted plans. Final benefit verification and out-of-pocket costs are determined by the provider's billing office.
