Dr. Stephen G. Mikita is the owner and manager of SG Mikita Physical Therapy. He holds a Bachelor's in Health Science and a Master's in Physical Therapy from Mercy College in New York City. Born and Raised in New York, Stephen Mikita moved to California in 2002 and quickly was employed by West Hills Medical Center, where he spent most of his time in the Inpatient and Outpatient Facility. He has hospital background in acute care, rehabilitation, and outpatient care for many years before taking over the private practice in 2005.Dr. Mikita enjoys treating a variety of patients to help them reach their goals of returning to sports, work, and other recreational activities. He also believes in a strong emphasis on home exercise programs and patient education for better long-term results. Dr. Mikita's philosophy of individualized care and one-on-one treatment program allows him to provide the highest quality of service to all his patients. Dr. Mikita has taken continuing education courses in: Strain/Counter-Strain Myofascial Mobilization Dr. Mikita holds membership in the following: American Physical Therapy Association Private Practice Section Dr. Mikita has a special interest in the fields of: Hands On Manual Therapy Light Therapy
