I'm reluctant to give this provider even one star. They had my wife do two tele-consults plus one in-person visit where each time they repeated the same exact tests. And then to top it all off they expected her to have another consult with the actual pain doctor before they could potentially prescribe the same level of pain relief she has been receiving in Nevada from the same pain specialist for the past 5+ years.
They received her complete set of records prior to the first tele-consult and told her they needed a second tele-consult once she was almost completely out of meds, putting her at their mercy.
I have to conclude that this is either a money hungry or incompetent group masquerading as a caring pain clinic. Very nice and pleasant nurse practitioners who really sound like they want to help but either don't or can't update your chart. And a doctor who appears to be unwilling to review your chart without yet another Medicare billing. Perhaps this is why others are saying they have frequent staff turnovers.
I recommend going elsewhere. I'm sure there are plenty of pain specialists out there in Washington state who do care about their patients wellbeing as well as their bottom line.
I wish I had taken other recent reviews at face value and not wasted our time. Don't waste yours. And definitely don't allow them to delay prescribing until you are almost completely out of meds.
My solution is to go back to Nevada to obtain relief. We are fortunate that we can drop everything and do this. You may not have this option.

This place is awful. I came to Seattle Pain Relief to get treatment for my chronic migraines because of the months-long wait lists for various headache specialists, but ended up not receiving any actual care and wasting my time, money, and energy.
I had three appointments earlier this year. My second appointment was a waste of time since it was a repeat of the first, as the doctor asked the same questions to get my history. I guess she didn’t save her notes. Throughout the first two appointments, she kept telling me that she will administer the Botox injections for my migraines in my next appointment after I get an updated x-ray.
For my third appointment, I waited over an hour for her to review the x-ray results, and then she left me in the room for another 30 minutes as she attempted to order the botox. Another waste of time as she hadn’t even order the injections yet, and could have reviewed the results via phone like every other doctor. I also don’t appreciate her lack of transparency/lying about the timeline of my care. Clearly, she greedily wanted me to get into the office as much as possible for $ and couldn’t have cared less about my health.
In addition, they tried to charge me the $500+ total for the third visit when I only owed a $15 copay. Apparently, they stopped understanding that you can’t require patients to pay the full amount of the visit before insurance processes the bill after my second visit. Luckily, the billing specialist (I believe her name was Shelby?) kindly refunded me the $500+ charge. I appreciate how she waived my copay due to the situation, and her overall empathy. I’m glad that at least one person who works here has integrity.

I have been a patient for over 5 years. At first it's a little bumpy which is due to the opioid pandemic. Once an established patient appointments run smoothly, pain is taken care of, and you are treated with respect. I recently switched insurance companies who told me Seattle Pain was in network but they were not. Seattle Pain did everything and went beyond to get me through until I could get back to my previous insurance. I love Dr. Ryskin. He really listens to me and does everything he can to help. All the prescribers are very friendly, kind, and compassionate. I am extremely grateful for Seattle Pain Relief. They even send referrals when I need to see specialists.

I have been going here for 2 years it has overall been a pretty good experience but the rules change a lot. Today as I was going into the bathroom to leave a UA which is humiliating enough, I was told by the receptionist to leave my purse, with my money, ID, passport, credit card and medications hanging on a hook by the bathroom door. It made me very uncomfortable to be treated like that especially across the room by a person at the front desk with no explanation as to why. Pain patients are really treated like criminals just for having pain that won’t go away, I didn’t get any reassurance, even when I asked them to watch my belongings. I also have had many issues with the billing department and get random bills and double bills. I get told, they will call me back but they don’t. Sometimes I get a bill in the mail and then somebody calls me a day or two later wanting payment over the phone. Nothing matches up. I have to get print outs and go through all my insurance statements to match up. The providers are all really great.

Marshall Kim is the best provider at Seattle Pain Relief! He is knowledgeable, willing to listen and gives you options so that you have a choice in your care. He is compassionate and he puts his patients first. Whenever I come into the office, he is very welcoming and is always as helpful as he can be. Sometimes, he will spend more time with me discussing what’s going on with me than my own neurologist! I appreciate him very much!
