Dr. Romy Chan has been a physical therapist for nearly 30 years. He holds a Manual Therapy Advanced Course Certificate from the Kaiser Permanente Physical Therapy Residency Program in Advanced Orthopedic Manual Therapy at Hayward, CA.OrthoCare & Sports Physical Therapy (OCSPT) was solely owned and operated by Dr. Romy Chan. It was established with the goal to provide highly specialized musculoskeletal care to patients seeking a personal approach to regain physical health and wellness. Every patient may expect to receive an hour of one-on-one care, which includes ongoing physical assessment, hand-on manual treatment and a customized therapeutic exercise program targeting specific physical impairments so as to reduce pain and to maximize function. Dr. Romy Chan has a keen interest in the management of spinal neck and back pain, pathomechanics of the shoulder and the lower extremities, as well as knee rehabilitation. He has developed a unique approach combining manual therapy, exercise therapy and computerized monitored movement therapy (ValedoMotion) in the management of low back pain with successful results.
