Dr. Thomas Wetzen, has been helping people live pain free as a licensed Chiropractor since 1989. Graduating with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the prestigious, Life University, Marietta, GA, formerly known as, Life Chiropractic College, Dr. Wetzen is a leader in the Chiropractic profession. Presently he's President of The Unified Virginia Chiropractic Association, Vice-President for the East Coast Associations Independent Physicians Network & the District 3 Representative for the Council on Chiropractic Guidelines and Practice Parameters. Prior to his presidency, he served as the Vice-President of The Unified VCA and the Northern Virginia District Representative for the Virginia Society of Chiropractic from 1998-2006. He is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician and has provided care for numerous high schools, colleges and professional athletes.He received Chiropractor of the Year Award in 2008, Service and Commitment Award in 2002, and Chiropractic Service Award in 2001.Family and Sports Chiropractic promotes the practice of healing without using drugs and surgery. We practice Chiropractic BioPhysics® (CBP®), corrective care, which is currently only practiced by 2% of Chiropractors in the entire world. Corrective Chiropractic care consists of effective treatment plans which includes traction and spinal adjustments that ultimately eliminate subluxations, or blockages of proper communication between the nerves around the spine and the brain. We take the time to do a thorough physical examination and confirm our findings with the aid of X-rays, as needed. Then we explain the diagnosis and find a unique treatment plan designed for your body and condition. Our purpose is to find and eliminate the underlying cause of problems, prevent condition worsening, correct issues with the spine to a near normal state and educate patients to become more proactive with their health.
