Dr. Melissa M. Powers received specialized training in manual therapy treatment techniques for spine and extremity after graduating with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. Melissa treats nearly all orthopedic conditions with special interests in back and neck pain, lumbopelvic mechanical malalignments, SIJ dysfunction, femoral acetabular impingement, and acetabular labral tears as well as sport specific injuries. She finds great joy in achieving superior results with patients dealing with chronic pain or movement dysfunction, which perhaps has been unsuccessful in other PT clinics. With over 20yrs of experience as a ballet dancer and 15 yrs as an avid yogi and long-distance road and trail runner, Melissa enjoys working closely with the performance arts community and endurance athletes.
