I've always been happiest when I'm in motion. I've spent my life cycling, backpacking, snowboarding, long-distance running, weight lifting and doing ecstatic dance and yoga. Things changed dramatically and suddenly when I had a serious road cycling accident in 2009. I broke my arm and leg in multiple places and was in recovery for four months. My life was forever changed. When I could be mobile again I used yoga to help heal my body AND my soul. The power of yoga has consistently supported and sustained me on and off the mat for nearly two decades, and has become the primary focus for my body, mind and spirit to express herself in the world today. Today, I share my practice with others as a teacher and Yoga Therapist while integrating my 30 years of hands on healing care.In 1990 I became a deep tissue bodyworker focusing on sports and injury management care. My passion for healing the physical body took root and I went on to become a chiropractor which has allowed me to expand my practice and focus on the source of dysfunction, the nervous system. Today, my primary focus is to help people heal from chronic pain and injury as well as support and maintain the body and mind's good health through a variety of approaches. I continue to train and expand my therapeutic modalities including Active Release Techniques, (ART) and Z health neurologic training. I have recently become a yoga therapist, after 20 years of practice, which has added a great benefit for my patients health maintenance and long term support. Integrating all that I've learned and passionately offering my patients the care needed to live and thrive in their lives is my life's mission.
